Rotary Club, Buffalo Grove Community Foundation Announce 2026 Community Grantees

Buffalo Grove, IL – The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove (Rotary) and Buffalo Grove Community Foundation (BGCF) are pleased to announce 20 local area nonprofits and organizations as community grant recipients.


Since 2024, Rotary and BGCF have partnered in providing a yearly joint Community Grant Program which supports quality of life initiatives in Buffalo Grove. This year, nearly $30,000 in grants will be provided.

The following organizations are recipients of this year’s joint community grants:

  • Community Consolidated School District 21
  • Buffalo Grove Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
  • The Cancer Wellness Center
  • The Center for Enriched Living
  • Northwest Compass
  • GiveNKind
  • Hunger Resource Network
  • Journeys: The Road Home
  • Gerry’s Café
  • Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF)
  • The Lake County Haven
  • Lake County Honor Flight
  • Northwest Suburban Special Education Association (NSSEO)
  • Nicasa Behaviroal Health Services
  • Buffalo Grove Pride/Pinta Pride Project
  • Children in Therapy and You (CITY) of Support
  • Special Gifts Theatre
  • TOTS Therapeutic Child Care Center
  • Willow House
  • WINGS Domestic Violence Shelter

“As Rotarians, we abide by the motto of ‘service above self’ and are people of action,” said Buffalo Grove Rotary President Juliet Ziak. “To that end, we are proud to continue our ongoing partnership with the Buffalo Grove Community Foundation to support the organizations that are doing good work to make positive, lasting change in Buffalo Grove and beyond.”

“Buffalo Grove is lucky to be served by so many dedicated nonprofits and service organizations committed to creating a lasting impact on the quality of life in our community,” said BGCF Executive Director Mike Skibbe. “We are pleased to support their ongoing work through this joint community grant program.”

Funding for the joint community grant program is made possible through donated proceeds from the community’s annual BG Days festival and the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove’s annual Duck Race, held annually on the Saturday evening of Buffalo Grove Days.
